Today has been rather a long day, but I managed to do a couple of very minor cosmetic changes to the site. The most noticeable ones are summary posts on the home page with the addition of the ‘more’ tag. I also allowed more posts to show up on the home page. Part of the decision was because I realized that some of the posts ran long, and in the current format I thought it cumbersome to scroll past previously read sections.
Still on development on the other site, which at launch, will serve as a compliment to this site. Time has been a significant factor for the past few months, I’ll be lucky if I manage to get anything resembling a normal sleep pattern in. Today I clocked in just about 13 hours, but only 8 of which could be considered “billable hours”. That could be a misnomer though as most projects are not billed by the hour, and there is no guarantee of payment unless the transaction is successful. I use it and require my team to as well for several reason, especially as there are certain projects we do pure consultation on.
Looking at the clock now, I could get a good two hours night sleep in… I suppose coffee will be my best friend this weekend.
The photo above was provided Mike Warot and is the Marshall Field’s, errr, Macy’s clock on State. This is one of my favorite pieces downtown. You should view his photostream, there are some excellent shots from around the city! Some of the composites are really interesting. Only had the chance to view about fifty photos from the stream but like what I see so far and will probably add it to the blogroll in the morning. Anyways, thanks again for checking in, look forward to hearing from you guys!
