Views, windows and outdoor spaces are some of the most in-vogue amenities in luxury homes as listed by Trulia. With lifestyle, and emphasis on outdoors, luxury homes with panoramic views, over-sized windows and outdoor entertaining spaces are in high demand.
The amenity that saw the most growth during the one year study was marble baths. My recent work in luxury homes in the Chicago area also have shown an high interest in very specific areas; For kitchens, quarts or silestone (synthetic stone made from quarts) counters, glass or stone backsplash and fixtures. My recent tour of the Toto product line back in Sept also uncovered the growing demand for bathroom fixtures. Other notable features are roof top decks (which combine outdoor entertaining along with views), multiple garage parking or lifts, and separate ground floor unit which serves multiple purposes as either an in-law apartment, income property or on-site office space.
Though these amenities can be desirable by any home owner, however, such styles are usually found only in larger homes that can accommodate both the square footage and costs for such features.
